I’m glad you’re here and I’m excited to be back!
This Blog will be delving into the Christian Worldview, applying Biblical principles to life situations with the goal to gain knowledge of the Great Shepherd. As a result of the Scriptures’ application to life, our behavior should reflect the image of the Lord Jesus Christ. In these tumultuous times, we need to be about His business, which is to make disciples. This means encouraging each other through modeling a life lived to glorify God alone.
This is something that no Christian does perfectly and we won’t be the complete image of the Lord Christ until we reach Heaven. But in the meantime we will, like the Apostle Paul, seek that goal. Philippians 3:12, “Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.”
Therefore, in the days to come, we will seek to get to know one another through the comments and develop an ongoing conversation centered around the Great Shepherd and His tender care for each of His sheep. My only request is that you share your thoughts in your gentle, bleating voice. I will entertain questions, comments, and insights that lend to a deeper discussion of any topic. If I don’t have the answer, I’ll be glad to do the research necessary to find one for you.
One addition to the relaunched Blog is the Resource page for references and web sites that may help you in your personal discovery. My goal is to write a post once a week and to post links and commentary for other articles on the Resource page as they become available.
Also, the prior posts will be available in the Archive. The current and most recent posts will appear on the Blog page as well as a form to make comments and contributions.
On the About page you will find my Bio and personal history explaining why this is an endeavor of the heart. I will not be soliciting you for any funding or financial help. This is purely a free Blog for your encouragement.
